I recently had the opportunity to visit the stunning wedding venue The Oak Barn at Loyalty located in picturesque Loudoun County, Virginia. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the owners who are the sweetest and most passionate venue owners I have ever met. They created this venue after hosting their daughter's wedding on their property a few years before. After their daughter's wedding, they had a vision to create an oak barn to help other couples also host their weddings in the beautiful Virginia countryside.
The ceremony site overlooks the Shenandoah mountains and includes a rustic wood arbor that can be dressed up in a variety of ways. In the case of rain, the barn is large enough to also host your wedding ceremony inside, and the gorgeous large farm doors can be opened so that the mountains can still serve as the back-drop for your big day!
After taking in the ceremony location views, we walked up to the back of the barn and saw the patio at the back of the barn which is the perfect location for a cocktail hour. The bistro lights add the perfect ambiance, and the spacious patio allows each couple the freedom to create a space uniquely them. I love the idea of adding in some outdoor seating to this space and ample cocktail tables to create a fun and functional space. This would also be an ideal location to station a food truck or fun bar set-up.
The inside of the barn is just as stunning as the outside and has two levels. The barn can fit up to 250 guests and is completely climate controlled. The barn is light and airy and includes two stunning chandeliers to center the space. The venue also includes a variety of tables and chairs. Restrooms are on the ground level and on the second floor and are handicap accessible. The top floor also has a balcony that overlooks the ceremony space and is the perfect place for the couple to step away for a few moments alone to take in the moment.
The venue also includes a bridal suite at the back of the property. I loved this feature. It was nicely secluded away from the barn so that the bride and her bridesmaids can have the privacy they need during the day to get ready, but still close enough so that the bride can take a few sneak peeks during the day if needed. The bridal suite has ample space for hair and make-up and great natural light for your artists to work their magic.
The pictures truly do not do this property justice! It is the perfect blend of rustic and elegant and the barn lends itself to a variety of design options. I LOVE that the barn has ample natural light which is ideal for wedding photos. The icing on top is the venue owners, who really strive to go above and beyond to make sure that each couple who has their wedding at their venue has a truly perfect event.
