M&E were a wedding planner's dream. M was in the process of moving across the country to join E in Arlington, VA to begin their new life together and she did not want to fuss around planning her dream wedding. When she reached out to me we instantly connected over our love for blue sapphires, simple design elements, and an overall elegant aesthetic. She wanted help transforming the Ft. Myer Officer's Club spaces to fit her elegant vision. Her color palette was navy, gold, and white. We worked with DC Rental to find the perfect table-top pieces and Mary Beth at Free Spirit Floral knocked the floral design out of the park. Everything came together so beautifully and it was such a joy planning and managing this wedding. I never wanted it to be over!
The details were timeless with pops of blue. Kassie Layne Photography did an amazing job capturing each detail .
We worked to transform the ceremony space by adding draping, lighting, and eye catching floral pieces. We also lined the aisle with candles in differing heights to create a warm ambiance and add a romantic touch.
E's reaction as M walked down the aisle was one for the books and I can't want to add this photo to the "gram" with the caption "Find a man that looks at you the way E looks at M!" It was a beautiful ceremony led by Leora Willis of With This Ring I Thee Wedd.
After the ceremony, guests headed down to the ballroom for dinner & dancing. I loved designing the tables for this wedding and M's inspiration, color palette, and the awesome rentals sourced from DC Rental in Arlington, VA all combined to create this stunning look.
